Salary: 12.50 – 15.50 per hour, Depending on Experience

The Role:

We are seeking a proactive and reliable Driver's Mate with essential previous experience as a Drainage Engineer. This unique role will involve supporting our drivers on various jobs, primarily assisting with drainage–related tasks and ensuring the smooth and efficient completion of work. Due to the nature of our business, flexibility in working hours is a key requirement, as some jobs may require early starts, late finishes, or weekend work.

Key Responsibilities:On–site Assistance: Accompanying drivers to various job sites, providing hands–on support with equipment and materials.Drainage Expertise: Utilising previous Drainage Engineer experience to assist with:Diagnosing drainage issues.Operating drainage equipmentPerforming minor repairs and unblocking drains.Assisting with the installation or replacement of drainage systems.Loading and Unloading: Safely loading and unloading vehicles with tools, equipment, and materials.Tool and Equipment Management: Ensuring tools and equipment are well–maintained, clean, and in good working order.Site Preparation and Clearance: Assisting with site setup and ensuring areas are left clean and tidy after job completion.Customer Interaction: Maintaining a professional and courteous manner when interacting with clients on–site.Health and Safety: Adhering to all company health and safety policies and procedures, identifying and reporting any potential hazards.Teamwork: Working collaboratively with drivers and other team members to achieve job objectives.Documentation: Assisting with basic paperwork or job sheets as required.Requirements:MUST have previous demonstrable experience as a Drainage Engineer.Strong understanding of drainage systems and common issues.Proficient in the use of standard drainage tools and equipment.Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.Reliable, punctual, and highly organised.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.A proactive and problem–solving approach to work.Flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and occasional weekends, as dictated by job requirements.Desirable (but not essential):Relevant industry certificationsKnowledge of local Northampton and surrounding areas.Benefits:Competitive hourly rate based on experience.Opportunity to work with a reputable local company.Varied and interesting work.Supportive team environment.To Apply:
