Class 2 Refuse Driver

Berry Recruitment are currently recruiting HGV 2 Dustcart Drivers for a position starting asap. This is a temporary role with a view to perm for the right candidate. We are looking for Class 2 HGV Refuse Drivers to work within a team, in and around the New Forest area (Totton, Lymington, Ringwood) collecting door to door waste.

Working Monday to Friday 6am to 3pm with an hourly pay rate of 15.68 per hour, with overtime sometimes available.

The successful candidate must be able to work responsibly, safely and in a timely manner. Duties will include working as part of a team driving the heavy goods vehicle and loading refuse therefore flexibility is crucial. Full training and induction will be given.

Duties:

– Driving a class 2 vehicle and you will also be required to assist with the loading

– To collect paper, green waste, household waste and special collections.

– Heavy lifting / fast paced

– Customer facing

Previous experience of the waste industry and of waste collection is preferred but not essential as training will be given.

Requirements:

– Class 2 driving experience is essential

– Clean Class 2 licence is preferred

– Must hold a valid CPC certificate

– Must have a digital tachograph card
