Salary: GBP13.15 per hour + Overtime (Time & Half)

Job Description

We are currently recruiting an experienced Class 2 Refuse Collection Driver (HGV Class 2 / LGV Category C) to join the local council's waste management team. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and motivated individual seeking ongoing work with the possibility of a permanent role .

As a Class 2 Refuse Driver , you will be responsible for:

Driving a Class 2 (Category C) refuse collection vehicle safely and efficiently

Working as part of a crew to collect household and commercial waste

Assisting with bin collections when required

Following all health & safety and council regulations

Key Requirements

Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence

CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card

Previous experience in refuse collection / waste management (ideally with a local authority)

Good level of physical fitness (role involves some manual handling)

Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team

Pay & Benefits

GBP13.15 per hour

Overtime paid at time and a half

Monday to Friday (early starts)

Temporary role with potential to become permanent
