Job Summary

We are seeking skilled and reliable Class 1 Drivers to join our team. We have vacancies for day work and for trampers from a base in Brothertoft near Boston. The ideal candidates will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with other staff.

Duties

Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, maintaining the integrity of products during transit.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.

Communicate effectively with office staff regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.

Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any mechanical issues encountered.

Utilise mechanical knowledge to perform minor repairs or adjustments on vehicles when necessary.

Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring safety at all times.

Requirements

Valid HGV driving licence and CPC

Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members

Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot vehicle issues is advantageous.

Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late evenings if required.

A commitment to safety and adherence to company policies regarding transportation standards.
