Assistant Housing Project Officer

Location: East London (hybrid working arrangements)

Grade: £21.23 PAYE / £27.68 Umbrella

Division: Inclusive Economy and Housing

Are you passionate about housing and making a difference in your community? Our client are seeking a Assistant Housing Project Officer and help deliver impactful housing projects that support residents across the borough.

You'll help the council run housing projects that improve homes and services for local residents. You'll work closely with a more senior officer, helping with planning, research, and making sure things stay on track.

What You'll Be Doing:

Supporting the delivery of housing projects and policy development.

Conducting research and analysis on housing legislation and policy changes.

Assisting with project planning, coordination, and monitoring.

Communicating with internal teams and external stakeholders, including the Mayor's Office.

Attending meetings and representing the Housing Directorate.

Using IT systems to manage data, reports, and project updates.

Ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining confidentiality.

What We're Looking For:

Knowledge of social housing and project management.

Experience working in a housing environment, ideally within a local authority.

Strong communication and organisational skills.

Ability to work flexibly and manage competing priorities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internal council systems.
