Description

Are you looking for a long term interim assignment? We are looking for an interim L&ODM initially for 1 year.

As Learning & Organisational Development Manager, you will lead a team responsible for designing and delivering a dynamic programme of training, leadership development, and organisational development (OD) activity. The role operates at both a strategic and operational level, contributing to the implementation of our workforce strategy and supporting the development of a high-performing, inclusive, and future-ready organisation.

You will oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of a wide range of initiatives, including leadership development for members and officers, our “Development for All” offer, coaching and mentoring and team diagnostics and improvement. The role also plays a key part in supporting council-wide change programmes that strengthen organisational capability and contribute to the delivery of the Council Plan.

Digital innovation is a key enabler in this role, with a focus on embedding the use of technology, including AI into learning approaches to improve accessibility, efficiency, personalisation and digital confidence across our workforce.

The postholder will foster a culture of engagement, inclusion, and continuous improvement, promoting a “one council” approach to Learning and OD. In doing so, they will help build a skilled, adaptable workforce equipped to deliver high-quality public services and respond to the evolving needs of our communities.

Applicants must have proven experience of leading Learning and Organisational Development (OD) services in a large, complex organisation, with a track record of delivering measurable improvements in workforce capability and organisational performance.

Please forward CV for immediate consideration
