Are you a highly organised, solutions-focused HR professional with a passion for people and operational excellence? Our client, a large public sector organisation is now looking for a highly skilled HR Business Coordinator to work closely with the Director of People and senior HR leadership team and support the effective planning, coordination, and progress of HR strategic priorities.

Please note; this role offers hybrid working with a minimum requirement of 2-3 days pw working from the central London office.

This pivotal role will place you at the heart of the HR Directorate as a key point of contact and operational coordinator for the Director of People. You'll support the Director in organising and managing the day-to-day running and administration of the People Team office, coordinating activities and tracking progress of People Team priorities, prioritising commitments and appointments, preparing briefings, reports, presentations and responses, and much more!

What you'll be doing:

Providing comprehensive business coordination and administrative support to the Director of People and to projects, programmes and initiatives led by the Strategic People Leadership Team.

Organising and managing the day-to-day running and administration of the People Team office to ensure a high-quality service.

Supporting the delivery of People Team priorities and programmes by coordinating activities and tracking progress.

Acting as a key point of contact for the Director of People, managing their complex diary commitments, correspondence, communications, and queries.

Preparing briefings, reports, presentations, and communications for a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Setting up systems and processes to improve the efficiency of the People Team.

Maintaining accurate logs, trackers, and filing systems to support oversight of priorities and deadlines.

What you'll need:

Proven experience providing high-quality administrative or business support to senior managers or leadership teams in a fast‑paced environment.

Experience working within HR, People, or Organisational Development teams or functions.

Experience of working in a large and complex public sector environment.

Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reports, briefing notes, and presentations.

Excellent IT skills, and competent user of Microsoft Office 365

Ability to interpret complex information and statistics and present in a clear format to a range of audiences.

Experience of taking minutes/notes of complex meetings, including, setting standards of practice, agenda preparation, minute taking, and action tracking.

Knowledge of project management techniques to achieve business change
