Job Title: Handyman/Labourer (Short-Term Contract – 3 Weeks) Location: Chatham, Gillingham, Rochester (Kent) Contract Type: Self-Employed Pay: £500 per week Hours: 6 hours per day (8:00 AM – 3:00 PM, with 1-hour lunch) Contract Duration: 3 Weeks
About the Role: LHL is seeking a reliable and hardworking Handyman/Labourer to support our maintenance team on a short-term basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in maintaining properties.
Key Responsibilities: Garden work, including strimming and tidying overgrown areas
Clearing rubbish and unwanted furniture from properties
Basic painting and decorating tasks
General clean-downs of internal and external areas
Routine handyman duties (e.g. minor repairs, assembling or removing items)
Replacing fence panels and supporting with basic carpentry
Supporting the maintenance team with various manual tasks as needed
Requirements: Proven experience in general labour, property maintenance or handyman work
Physically fit and comfortable with manual tasks
Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently
Own transport is preferred but not essential
Must have own basic tools and be legally self employed
Benefits: Fixed short-term contract with consistent hours
