Experienced Tailor/ Seamstress

Description

We’re looking for an experienced Seamstress/Tailor for our dry clean shop based in South West London for 2 days a week.

****Please only apply if you have sufficient and relevant experience in tailoring and alterations.****

Responsibilities:

- Perform alterations and repairs on garments according to customer specifications

- Take accurate measurements to ensure proper fit - Sew, stitch, and hem garments using various tools and techniques

- Replace zippers, buttons, and other fasteners as needed

- Press and steam garments to give them a polished appearance

- Assist customers in selecting appropriate fabrics and styles for custom orders

- Maintain a clean and organised work area

Requirements:

- Proficient in operating sewing machines and other tailoring tools

- Strong knowledge of garment construction and alteration techniques

- Attention to detail and precision in measuring and sewing - Excellent hand

-eye coordination and manual dexterity

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team - Good communication skills to interact with customers

- Proven experience as a Tailor

- Time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £16.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate: Barnes SW13

Experience: Tailoring: At least 5 years (required)
