Description

The Force Ten (F10) MTN 2 Tent is an award-winning mountain tent and is the go-to tent for all UK or overseas trips. The 4 pole classic geodesic construction creates a self-supporting structure, providing an excellent balance between weight and stability. The Axial Hub pole system adds additional stability, with the poles connecting at the cross over points. This versatile, free-standing shelter is especially good for use in adverse weather conditions thanks to its strong design and multi-function flysheet door.

This tent has some small manufacturing marks on the flysheet near the door. Force Ten have confirmed that they have no impact on the tent. I replaced a section of a pole with a new aluminium one of a similar strength, and there's a small rip on main kit bag but this is easily repaired. It's in good condition, and it's been used in total for about 27 nights. (Mostly in dark weather.) It has some minor quirks relating to tieing it up, but these are relatively trivial.

Comes with extra F10 footprint, which cost me about £25, which means it's possible to pitch the tent outer skin first. It's possible to pitch the tent without the flysheet/inner, or with inner/flysheet only. Comes with 16 aluminium, 'candy cane' pegs.
