Buyers T&Cs information - as pertains to activating a second hand sky glass air 65 inch TV - Sky Glass TV – Now Can Be Resold & Activated by New Owners

Sky Glass is a 4K QLED HDR TV with a built-in Dolby Atmos soundbar (six speakers). It was designed to combine live TV, streaming apps, and Sky services in one device – and it doesn’t need a satellite dish, just a broadband connection.

Until recently, Sky Glass TVs could only be used by the original buyer, but Sky has now changed this. Buyers of second-hand Sky Glass can now activate the TV with their own Sky account. That means the new owner can set up a fresh subscription directly with Sky and use the TV properly.f

How It Works Without Sky

If you connect a Sky account (even a free/non-active one), the TV stays activated. In this state, third-party apps such as Netflix, BBC iPlayer, ITVX, and YouTube will still work, so the TV functions as a Smart TV.

If no Sky account is connected, then apps and streaming won’t work. In that case, the TV can still be used with an external device (like a Fire Stick, Freeview box, or games console) via HDMI, or with an aerial for Freeview channels (if reception is available).

Selling & Buying Second-Hand
• The TV can now be re-sold and activated by the new owner.
• When setting it up, Sky will provide an activation code process for the new user.
• As with any second-hand tech, the buyer will need to set up their own Sky account if they want to use Sky services.
