We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 6 Teacher for a high–achieving 2–form entry school in Barking, starting in September 2025. This is a full–time, permanent position. Interviews will be held as soon as possible.

Year 6 Teacher Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Year 6. Support students through SATs preparation, ensuring they are confident and well–equipped for their transition to secondary school. Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting clear learning targets. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages independence, curiosity, and a love for learning. Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and leadership to ensure high–quality curriculum delivery. Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns. Participate in school meetings, professional development, and extracurricular activities as required. Year 6 Teacher Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Previous experience teaching Year 6 or upper Key Stage 2. Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and SATs preparation. Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire students. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A team–oriented approach and a willingness to collaborate with colleagues. Commitment to continuous professional development and best teaching practices. Application
