About the Role

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated and inspiring Year 3 Primary Teacher to join our vibrant and nurturing school community in Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high–quality teaching and learning to a Year 3 class, ensuring all pupils make excellent progress and feel supported in their development.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, creative and differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum

Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that supports learning

Assess, track and report on pupil progress regularly, using formative and summative assessment methods

Work collaboratively with year group colleagues, support staff and leadership to plan effective teaching strategies

Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom culture

Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and personal development

Communicate effectively with parents, carers and outside agencies as required

Participate fully in the wider life of the school, including staff meetings, INSET, and extracurricular activities

Person Specification

Essential:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience teaching at Key Stage 2 (Year 3 preferred, but not essential)

Strong knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum

Ability to motivate and inspire young learners

Excellent classroom management skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A reflective practitioner committed to ongoing professional development

Desirable:

Experience with phonics, maths mastery or other relevant schemes

Evidence of strong pupil progress under your teaching

Experience working in a diverse school setting
