Tutor– Learners at risk of PEX

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated and experienced Tutors to support learners who are permanently excluded (PEX) or at risk of exclusion. This is a rewarding opportunity to work one–on–one or in small groups, helping students re–engage with education through tailored support.

As a Tutor you will:

Deliver engaging and accessible Maths and English sessions.Support learners with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.Build trusting relationships and provide consistent, trauma–informed support.Plan and adapt sessions to meet individual learning needs and goals.About you:

Minimum 1 year experience working in UK schools.Proven experience supporting students with SEMH needs.Ideally trauma–informed or willing to undertake training.Confident in planning and delivering basic Maths and English lessons.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one).Position – Tutor

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of experience working within UK schools– ESSENTIAL

Trauma–informed and skilled in de–escalation and emotional regulation strategies– Desirable
