The Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant specializing in ASD, you will:

Provide individualized assistance to students with ASD, facilitating their engagement with the curriculum and helping them achieve their full potential

Continuously monitor the progress of students with ASD, offering valuable feedback to teachers and parents to support their educational development effectively

Create a nurturing and safe environment specifically tailored to the needs of students with ASD, offering emotional support and encouragement as they navigate their educational journey

Maintain open and effective communication with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in the education of students with ASD, ensuring a collaborative approach to support

Advocate for the inclusion and sense of belonging of students with ASD within the school community, fostering an environment where they feel valued and supported

Requirements:

We're seeking candidates who possess:

Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, with a specific focus on supporting students with ASD

Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help students succeed

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in the context of supporting students with diverse needs

Adaptability and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary school team

Previous experience supporting students with ASD is highly advantageous
