GSL Education are representing a Special Educational Needsschool in Basingstoke that is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join their team in a variety of Flexible teaching roles.
In this role, you’ll be supporting pupils with a variety of special educational needs, providing both 1:1 support and small group/classroom assistance. You will play a vital role in helping children thrive, develop confidence, and achieve their potential.

Flexible Roles for University Students – Basingstoke (September 2025)
Responsibilities:
To support students who struggle with their class work
Facilitate a fun and friendly learning environment
To provide support to the class teacher
To keep the classroom a tidy and presentable environment
Help manage classroom behaviour
What we are looking for:
Graduates or current university students with a desire to explore a career in education
Core subject degrees such as Maths, English, Science, History, Geography, or PE (for aspiring teachers)
Experience working with SEN (in school, care, or voluntary settings) preferred, not essential
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate effectively with parents and other professionals.
A patient and nurturing approach to working with children.
Ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Commitment to ongoing professional development in SEN practices and strategies.
To work with GSL Education in these Flexible Teaching Roles, you should:
Have the right to work in the UK.
Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
