1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our secondary school in St Helens. This is a full-time, permanent role, starting as soon as possible, working closely with a pupil who requires additional support.

About the Role

Provide 1:1 support for a student with special educational needs, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their potential.

Assist with learning activities, behaviour management and personal development.

Work alongside the class teacher and wider staff team to create a safe, supportive and inclusive environment.

Build a positive and trusting relationship to encourage progress and confidence.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Experienced in working with children or young people, ideally in an SEN setting.

Patient, empathetic and resilient, with a strong commitment to supporting individual needs.

Able to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.

Flexible, proactive and passionate about helping young people succeed.
