Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Leader Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant join a Sunderland based primary school, supporting young learners aged 7–11.

This is a fantastic and vibrant school where staff take pride in helping pupils become well–educated, well–rounded citizens.

The school is committed to nurturing each child's interests, personality, and individual needs. With a diverse student body, English as an Additional Language (EAL) plays a key role in the school's inclusive approach, supporting pupils from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.

The normal working pattern is Monday–Friday 8:30 until 16:30 and is a long–term position.

The successful candidate will:

Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one Have experience working in a transferable role Follow personalised curriculums and care plans to meet pupil's requirements Work with pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in group settings, communicating effectively Participate in the planning and implementation of the curriculum through lesson planning and delivery Set up lessons, equipment and activities within the classrooms Collaborate with teachers, therapists and other teams to create a holistic supportive environment for pupils Leader Education can offer:
