Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Primary School

Location: Newham, East London

Start Date: September

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time Only

Veritas Education is currently recruiting for a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Newham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about education and eager to make a positive impact in the classroom.

The Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons

Work with pupils who require additional support, either 1:1 or in small groups

Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment

Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources

Foster positive relationships with pupils to support their social and emotional developmentThe Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for someone who:

Has previous experience working in a primary school setting (preferred)

Is passionate about supporting children's learning and development

Has a calm, patient, and flexible approach

Can work well as part of a team and show initiative when needed

Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of childrenThis role would suit someone considering a future career in teaching, psychology, or SEN support.
