Job Title: Teaching Assistant - KS2 (Primary School)

Location: Manchester, M16

Pay: £13.69 - £15.87 per hour (dependent on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (Full-time, long-term)

Start Date: September 2025

About the Role

Reeson Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the M16 area of Manchester. This Teaching Assistant role will be based in a KS2 class, providing one-to-one support for two pupils - one with ASD and one with ADHD. You will split your time between these children, helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement tailored strategies, manage routines, and adapt learning to meet individual needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about making a difference in children's lives and can commit to a full-time, long-term position from September.

Responsibilities

Support two KS2 pupils (one with ASD, one with ADHD) on a 1:1 basis

Split time equally between the two children throughout the day

Assist the teacher with planning and delivering differentiated learning activities

Use positive behaviour management strategies to maintain engagement

Adapt resources to suit learning styles and needs

Provide emotional and social support, helping to build confidence and independence

Liaise with the SENDCo and other staff to review progress and strategies

Ensure a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

Experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly supporting pupils with SEND

Understanding of ASD and ADHD strategies

Patient, adaptable, and able to work under own initiative

Committed to long-term consistency for the pupils' benefit

Strong communication and teamwork skills
