A SEN school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to work with students diagnosed with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and complex needs. You will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who work closely with the students to ensure their educational goals are met.

The SEN Teaching Assistant Job:
GSL Education are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work with students with severe learning needs. You will provide one-on-one support, helping students engage with their learning and develop independence, literacy and mathematics skills.
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a part of a SEN school in the Basingstoke where your energy and experience will be valued as you play an important part working each day towards the school's aim to meet the varied needs of its students.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will enjoy a high degree of job satisfaction as you have the opportunity to apply your skills to working with students who need support building their independence as they navigate daily life.
Key responsibilities of a SEN Teaching Assistant role include:
Working one-to-one or in small groups with pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties
Supporting the development of individual education plans (IEPs)
Adapting classroom activities and materials to suit individual needs
Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being
Building trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with SEND preferred, not essential (in school, care, or voluntary settings)
Calm, adaptable, and empathetic nature
Genuine desire to support inclusive education
Confidence in working with pupils with special needs
A strong interest in inclusive education and supporting children with additional needs
To work with GSL Education as a SEN Teaching Assistant, you should:
Have the right to work in the UK.
Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
