GSL Education are currently recruiting a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and diverse school in Chesterfield. Role Overview:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be instrumental in aiding students’ academic progress as well as their emotional and social wellbeing. You will collaborate with teaching staff to help maintain an inclusive, stimulating learning environment where all children are encouraged to succeed.

Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:

Assist students with classwork and encourage active participation in learning activities.

Provide targeted support through one-to-one or small group interventions under teacher guidance.

Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a well-managed classroom environment.

Contribute to a secure, inclusive, and engaging classroom setting.

Requirements for a TA:

Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational aid role is beneficial.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.

A calm, caring attitude and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

A full CV covering the past 10 years, including explanations for any employment gaps.
