Position: Teacher of English

Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire

Start Date: September 2025 or November 2025

Are you an enthusiastic Teacher of English with Secondary experience? – Tradewind is delighted to be working with a secondary school in Abingdon, Oxfordshire who are seeking a dedicated Teacher of English to join their English department from September 2025 or November 2025.

What you'll be doing:

Teach engaging English lessons across KS3–KS4

Plan and deliver creative, well–structured lessons

Assess and track pupil progress, adapting learning to meet a range of needs

Uphold high standards of classroom behaviour and engagement

Play an active role in department planning and contribute to whole–school activities

Support departmental extra–curricular opportunities

What we're looking for:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

A degree in English, English Literature, or a related subject

Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting

Strong subject knowledge with a passion for literature and language

Excellent communication skills and a commitment to student success

Based in, or reliably commutable to Abingdon, Oxfordshire
