Salary: £22,353 rising to £22,821 per annum (Full time equivalent £24,331 - £24,841 per annum) (Professional Services Grade 4 &4a)
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week, Term Time Only 36+4 weeks per year

Success Coach – The Role:
Are you passionate about making a difference in students' lives? As a Success Coach at Wiltshire College & University Centre, you will play a crucial role in guiding high needs learners through their educational journeys. Your job will be to enable and facilitate effective and efficient personalised study programmes that help students achieve clearly defined outcomes, including full-time study, employment, or supported living. You’ll be working under the guidance of the campus Inclusion and Support Manager to create tailored interventions and strategies that help students overcome barriers and achieve academic success.
Success Coach – Key Responsibilities:
* Personalised Study Programmes: Facilitate and enable personalised study programmes for learners with disabilities or learning difficulties, aiming for progression to full-time study, employment, or supported living.
* Developing Interventions: Create and implement provision, strategies, and action plans to help students overcome barriers to engagement and achieve their educational goals as specified in their EHCPs.
* Positive Approaches: Use positive techniques to ensure learners with challenging behaviours can safely benefit from their programmes.
* Respect and Equality: Ensure all learners are treated with respect, dignity, and equality.
* Identifying Programmes: Collaborate with Inclusion and Support Managers to identify cost-effective study programmes and activities that align with student outcomes.
* Monitoring Progress: Monitor and review learner progress, actively participating in statutory and non-statutory review processes to meet all deadlines.
* Safeguarding: Report any concerns about learner health, wellbeing, safety, or safeguarding to the designated officer.
* Promoting Health and Safety: Promote the health and safety of learners in line with college policies.
* Risk Assessments: Complete and update risk assessments promptly to ensure the safety of learners, staff, and others, ensuring they are approved via the evolve system by the Head of Inclusion and Support.
Success Coach – You:
We are looking for dedicated professionals with strong mediation skills and a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team. You should have excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with the creativity and independence to help students overcome barriers to learning.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Level 2 qualification in English and maths (GCSE A-C or equivalent).
- A relevant Level 3 qualification or the willingness to work towards one.
- A teaching, caring, or coaching qualification, or the commitment to obtain one.
