Job Opportunity: Temporary Teaching Assistants - Immediate Start (with Potential for Permanent Role)
Location: Shifnal
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Temporary (with potential for permanent placement)
We are currently recruiting two experienced Teaching Assistants to join the team at, a school supporting children aged 5-19 with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for skilled and resilient professionals who are passionate about making a real difference in young people's lives. Successful candidates who integrate well into the team may be considered for a permanent position.
About the Role:
Support students with SEMH needs in both group and 1:1 settings
Implement personalised behaviour strategies
Foster positive relationships with students and staff
Maintain a calm, consistent, and proactive approach
Collaborate closely with teaching staff and the wider teamEssential Criteria:
Proven experience working with children or young people - ideally in SEMH or similar settings
Confident, adaptable, and able to hit the ground running
Strong communication skills (verbal and non-verbal)
Ability to build trust quickly with students and staff
Resilience in challenging environments; calm under pressure
Excellent behaviour management skills
