As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students facing a range of complex needs, helping them develop positive behaviour strategies and manage mental health difficulties. SEN Teaching Assistant Role Overview:

Support students with a variety of SEN, including autism, learning difficulties, and emotional or behavioural challenges.

Work closely with students to manage and reduce challenging behaviours, and help them build coping mechanisms.

Collaborate with class teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to deliver tailored learning support.

Gain practical experience working in a specialist SEN school environment, preparing for a future career in SEN education or related fields.

Requirements:

Experience working with children or young adults with additional needs (e.g., SEN support, youth work, mental health roles).

Strong behaviour management skills – any restraint or positive handling training is a plus.
