We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Northumberland, working as a Senior Administrator. This role is offered on a permanent, part-time basis, working 18.5 hours per week.

Site Information

HMP Northumberland is a Category C men's prison, located in Morpeth near the village of Acklington in Northumberland, England. The team's aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe, and where causes of prison stress are minimised. The prison's mission is to provide a secure, safe, and rehabilitative environment that encourages positive change and prepares inmates for a successful reintegration into society.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

To hold or be willing to gain qualifications at level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy within agreed timescales

To hold or be willing to work towards a Level 2 qualification related to ICT or Business Administration or relevant industrial experience and skills

Track record of effective and efficient administration within a busy office environment

Track record of maintaining accurate electronic and paper-based data recording systems

Good literacy and numeracy skills.

Time management

Communication and interpersonal skills

Customer Service skills
