Location: Kirkby in Ashfield

Salary: GBP90 – GBP110 per day (Depending on experience)

Start Date: September 2025

Contract Type: Full–Time/ Part–time, Long–Term/ Day–to–day

GSL Education are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Kirkby in Ashfield starting from September 2025. This is an ideal opportunity for individuals who are dedicated, patient, and eager to support students in overcoming learning barriers and achieving their potential.

Key Responsibilities for the SEND TA:

Provide tailored one–to–one or small–group support for students with SEND, including autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.Support classroom teachers in delivering inclusive and differentiated learning.Assist with the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).Foster a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom environment.Help develop students confidence, communication, and independence.Work closely with SENCOs, teaching staff, and external specialists to support pupil progress. The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience working with children or young people with SEND (desirable but not essential).A patient, calm, and compassionate approach.Good interpersonal and communication skills.The ability to manage challenging behaviours effectively and respectfully.Relevant qualifications in SEN, Education, or Health & Social Care (preferred).A genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting every child s success.Have an up–to–date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
