Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Chester

Contract Type: Full–Time / Term–Time Only

Salary: 450 – 475 per week

Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier by agreement)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Teaching Assistant to join a SEND school in Chester. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs to help them access the curriculum and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Provide tailored support to individual students and small groups with SEND.

Work collaboratively with teachers and the SENCO to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Support pupils with personal care and emotional regulation, where necessary.

Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to staff and parents.

Contribute to the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activities.

About You

Experience working with children with SEND, preferably in a school setting.

A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable.
