Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Worthing

Salary: GBP90 – GBP100 per day (Depending on experience)

Start Date: September 2025

Contract: Full–time, Long–term

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive and supportive school in Worthing. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with SEND while developing their skills in a nurturing environment.

About the Role: As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you'll provide essential support to children with a range of special educational needs and disabilities. You'll work closely with teachers and specialists to ensure every child receives the individual attention they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide targeted support to children with SEND, including autism, learning difficulties, and physical disabilitiesImplement individualized education plans and therapeutic interventionsSupport children with personal care needs and mobility requirementsUse specialist equipment and resources to aid learning and developmentMonitor and record pupil progress, sharing observations with the teaching teamCreate a safe, inclusive environment where all children can thrive Job Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people with SEND (in educational, healthcare, or community settings)Understanding of various SEND conditions and appropriate support strategiesPatient, empathetic, and resilient approach to working with vulnerable childrenStrong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multi–disciplinary teamHave an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one) What We Offer:
