Job Title: SEND Teacher

Location: Kirkby–in–Ashfield

Salary: GBP150 GBP220 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Day–to–day/Long–term, Part–time/Full–time

Are you a skilled and passionate SEND Teacher eager to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities within a close–knit school community?

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join a supportive school in Kirkby–in–Ashfield. As a SEND Teacher, this role offers the opportunity to deliver personalised teaching and make a meaningful impact on pupils academic progress and wellbeing.

Responsibilities as a SEND Teacher:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils with SEND, in line with the national curriculum and individual EHCPs.Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive support.Implement behaviour management strategies that promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment.Contribute to the development and review of personalised learning plans and interventions.Participate actively in school life, including staff meetings, professional development, and extracurricular activities. Requirements for SEND Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK is essential.Proven experience teaching pupils with SEND, preferably in a primary or secondary setting.Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, strategies, and best practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).Full, up–to–date CV covering the last 10 years, with any employment gaps explained.
