Academics Bristol are seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEND Teacher to work with pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and severe learning difficulties (SLD).

SEND Class Teacher (PMLD/SLD)

Salary: Paid to scale – MPS + 1 SEN Point

Contract: ASAP – 31 August 2027

Location: Bristol

We are looking for a SEND teacher who is:

Passionate about SEND and dedicated to breaking down barriers to learningSkilled in adapting teaching for children with complex needsA team player who can work closely with colleagues, parents and professionalsOrganised, flexible and resilient, with a good sense of humourAbout the role

Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual student needsSet and monitor progress against Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes and individual learning plansLead and support classroom support staffWork effectively with therapists, families and external agenciesCreate a stimulating learning environment that celebrates achievementPerson Specification
