Prospero Teaching is seeking a SEND Teacher for the Resource Base

Are you a passionate and experienced teacher with a commitment to supporting pupils with special educational needs?

Prospero Teaching is working with a well–resourced primary school in Walsall that is seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to lead teaching and learning in their Resource Base, supporting children with complex needs, including ASD, non–verbal communication, and associated learning difficulties.

Job Title:Teacher Resource Base

Location: Walsall

Position Type:Part Time Term Time Only

Start Date:2025

Contract Type:Short– term / Daily

Pay:dependent on experience

Hours:AM 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday

About the Role:

Lead a small group of pupils within the school's specialist Resource BasePlan and deliver personalised, engaging lessons tailored to individual EHCPsSupport children with a range of SEND, including ASD, speech and language difficulties, and sensory needsUse visuals, widgets, and other communication tools to support learningWork closely with support staff, therapists, and the SENCO to deliver high–quality provision

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher StatusExperience teaching pupils with SEND, ideally in a specialist or base settingExcellent knowledge of strategies to support non–verbal and autistic learnerA nurturing, creative, and adaptable approachStrong teamwork and communication skills

Requirements to Work with Prospero Teaching:

Hold Right to Work in the UKHold a valid, enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)Provide two child–related professional references covering the last two years
