Full Time: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Staffex Education are currently recruiting on behalf of a large, successful Further Education college based in Kirklees. Graded as 'Good' by Ofsted, this vibrant college operates across multiple centres.

Due to significant growth in their SEND provision, exciting new opportunities have arisen for dedicated professionals to join as SEND Leads.

About the Role:

This is a cross-college role requiring flexibility to travel between centres. Offered on a temporary to permanent basis, this role offers the chance to transition into a permanent position following a successful initial period.

As a SEND Lead, you will:

Provide exceptional student support from transition to positive destinations post-college.

Work closely with the SENDCO to implement personalised support strategies and plans.

Line manage a team of support workers, managing timetables and interventions.

Oversee the EHCP process, including annual reviews.

Champion a supportive and inclusive learning environment that prepares students for adulthood.What We're Looking For:

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience working with young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in an educational setting.

In-depth understanding of EHCPs, the SEND Code of Practice, and a wide range of support strategies.

The confidence to use initiative and judgement in complex situations.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Essential Qualifications:

Minimum Level 2 in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths A*-C).

Minimum Level 3 qualification in Learning Support (or equivalent).

Training in moving and handling, administering medication, and first aid, or willingness to complete within 2 years.This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with real potential to develop your career within a dynamic and supportive FE environment.
