Location: Bradford – Secondary SEND School

Start Date: 3rd September 2025

Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Pay: £110.00–£130.00 per day

Job Description

Milk Education is proud to be working alongside a specialist secondary SEND school in Bradford, supporting students with a range of complex needs, including Autism, ADHD, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

We are seeking a confident, nurturing and experienced HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) to join this supportive and forward-thinking setting from Tuesday 3rd September, working full-time (Monday to Friday), with a strong possibility of a permanent position for the right candidate.

This is a rewarding role where you will make a real difference to young people who benefit from consistency, patience, and tailored support.

The Role

Delivering engaging sessions and interventions under the direction of the teaching team

Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis

Contributing to a calm, structured and positive learning environment

Working closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement individual learning plans

Promoting emotional regulation and positive behaviour

Playing a key role in helping students reach their potential, both academically and socially

Requirements

HLTA status (or qualified teacher with HLTA-level experience)

Experience working with students with SEND and/or SEMH at secondary level

Confidence in leading sessions independently

Excellent communication and behaviour management skills

A calm, resilient and adaptable approach

Team Teach training (or willingness to complete it – desirable)
