SEN Tutor – 1:1 Support Outside of School

Location: Lancaster

Part–time / Flexible hours

Start Date: Ongoing

Competitive hourly rate – depending on experience

Are you a patient, adaptable and passionate educator with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs?

We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 and/or small group tuition outside of a mainstream school setting.

About the Role:

Delivering tailored learning sessions to children with a range of SEN (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and MLD)Working in alternative settings such as the child's home, local library, or community centreSupporting pupils who may be out of school due to medical needs, anxiety, school refusal or awaiting a suitable placementPlanning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons in core subjects (English, Maths, etc.)Monitoring progress and adapting teaching strategies to meet individual EHCP goalsThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or significant experience in SEN education/tutoringExperience working 1:1 or in small groups with children with additional needsStrong behaviour management skills and a calm, nurturing approachAbility to work independently and liaise with families, external agencies or local authoritiesFlexibility to travel locally and work in various settingsA valid enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one)We Offer:
