SEN Teaching Assistant – SEN Primary School | South Croydon

Location: South Croydon

Start Date: September 2025 – July 2026 (With a view to go permanent)

Contract: Long Term | Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 3:30pm

Salary: £88.92 – £90 per day (depending on experience)

Are you dedicated to supporting children with complex needs?

We are currently recruiting dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join a specialist SEN Primary School in South Croydon. This school provides exceptional support for pupils aged 4 to 11 years with severe learning difficulties (SLD) and complex needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and physical or sensory impairments.

About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in the academic, emotional and social development of the pupils by:

* Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to each child's individual learning plan

* Assisting with personal care and mobility where required

* Encouraging pupil independence and promoting inclusion

* Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and the wider SEN team

* Creating a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment

Ideal Candidate:

* Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly SLD, ASD or complex needs

* A calm, nurturing and flexible approach

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills

* Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with children and staff

* Willingness to assist with personal care where required
