Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Specialist Provisions

Location: Preston & Surrounding Areas

Start Date: 10th September 2025

Pay: £106 - £115 per day (dependent on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (Term Time Only)

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs? Do you have experience in care, support, residential work, healthcare, or personal experience supporting family members or friends with additional needs?

We are seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to work within specialist provisions in Preston and the surrounding areas. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people with a range of special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide support to pupils with diverse SEN needs, both in the classroom and during unstructured times.

Assist with personal care where required.

Help implement tailored learning and behaviour support plans.

Work closely with teachers and other staff to create a safe, nurturing environment.

Promote independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.

Candidate Requirements:

Must have previous experience in care/support, residential work, healthcare, or personal SEN support (family or friends).

A minimum of 2 years of professional work references within the last 5 years.

Must hold an Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply and pay for one.

Resilient, patient, and a strong team player.

Comfortable working in a role that may involve personal care and supporting challenging behaviours
