SEN Teaching Assistant

Prospero Teaching are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to work at a primary school in Ipswich starting from September 2025. The successful candidate will be working in a specialist class providing close support to children with complex special educational needs.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

Location – Ipswich, Suffolk

Position – Teaching Assistant

Contract or position start date – September 2025

Duration / Likely Duration – Ongoing booking

Contract type – Long–Term

Full–time/part–time – Full–time

Minimum rate of pay – Minimum rate 90 per day

Hours – 8:00 am – 4:00pm: Mon – Fri (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

Previous SEN TA experience

GCSE English and Maths grade 'C'

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK

Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application

Provide two professional child related references
