SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Barking and Dagenham

Start Date: September 2025

Contract: Supply and long-term opportunities

Daily Rate: £90-£100 (depending on experience)

Year Groups: Nursery to Year 6

Tradewind Recruitment is looking for committed SEN Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Barking and Dagenham. We have both day-to-day and long-term positions available, focusing on 1:1 support for pupils with special educational needs.

What We're Looking For:

Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly Autism

Confident working 1:1 or in small groups (phonics or SATs support experience is a bonus)

Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents

Patient, empathetic and proactive

Strong communication and behaviour management skills

Understanding of child development and experience with IEPs and EHCPs

Essential Requirements:

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)

Right to work in the UK

Full employment history listed on your CV

Two professional references from the last two years

Overseas police check if applicable
