SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Gosford Green, Coventry (CV1)

Start Date: September 2025

Weekly Pay: 455 – 480

Contract: Full–time, Term–time only

Are you a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs? A welcoming primary school in Gosford Green, Coventry (CV1) is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a young boy in Year 1 with Autism, speech and language needs, and challenging behaviour.

The Role:

This is a full–time, 1:1 position supporting the pupil across the school day. Responsibilities include:

Providing 1:1 support during lessons and throughout the school day.Adapting whole–class learning content to meet the individual learning needs of the pupil.Supporting the pupil with behaviour regulation inside the classroom.Providing calm, supervised time away from the classroom when the pupil becomes overstimulated.Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure consistent, personalised support.Helping deliver learning in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.What We're Looking For:

A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.Previous experience working within a primary classroom setting.A sound understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.Experience supporting children with Autism, speech and language difficulties, and behavioural needs.A calm, patient, and adaptable approach to support children with complex needs.What We're Looking For:

A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.Experience working within a classroom environment.A sound understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.Previous experience supporting children with Autism, speech and language needs, and challenging behaviour.A calm, resilient and patient approach to working with children with SEN.Why Work with Us?
