Description
Turn Your Psychology Knowledge into Real SEN Experience – Birmingham
If you’ve ever wanted to see the theory from your psychology degree come to life, this is your chance. We’re working with a Multi-Academy Trust — a group of Birmingham based academies — as they look for SEN support staff to join their teams.
We’re looking for people with recent experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs — whether that’s from paid work, volunteering, or personal life, like helping a family member.
Opportunities could be day-to-day, long-term, or permanent, but our main focus is on helping you find the right school, or academy, where you can build relationships, grow your skills, and see the difference you make.
You might find yourself:
*
Supporting pupils with autism or SEMH needs in a calm, structured way.
*
Working alongside Speech and Language Therapists, Educational Psychologists, and SENCOs who’ll share their expertise.
*
Learning practical tools like PECS, Makaton, and sensory regulation that strengthen your CV and future applications.
You’ll gain the experience, confidence, and real-world stories to take into your next step — whether that’s therapy, teaching, or educational psychology.
Birmingham | September or sooner | Day-to-day, long-term & permanent | £85.50–£100/day + CPD opportunities
