SEN Teaching Assistant Primary Support

Location: Shoreham

Pay: GBP90 GBP100 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: September 2025

Contract: Full–time, Long–term

Do you have a nurturing approach and a passion for helping primary children with special educational needs thrive in their learning journey?

GSL Education is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with diverse learning needs at a caring primary school in Shoreham.

The Role You'll work closely with children aged 4–11 who may experience:

Autism Spectrum Conditions and sensory processing needsSpeech and language difficultiesLearning disabilities and developmental delaysADHD and attention challenges Your focus will be on creating inclusive learning experiences, building confidence, and helping each child access the primary curriculum at their own pace.

You'll Be:

Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups across Key Stage 1 & 2Helping children engage with literacy, numeracy, and creative subjectsUsing visual aids, communication tools, and sensory resourcesWorking alongside class teachers and SENCOCreating a supportive, structured learning environment We're Looking For:

Experience supporting primary–aged children with SENA patient, creative and encouraging approachSomeone who's comfortable with diverse learning needsTeam player with strong communication skillsAn Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Makaton, PECS, sensory regulation training, or similar are a bonus but not essential.
