SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support | Bridport | Full Time

Are you passionate about making a real difference in a child’s life?

Do you have experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)?

Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Bridport, who are seeking a dedicated and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child requiring additional support.

The role:

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1)

Location: Bridport, Dorset

Start date: ASAP / September 2025 start available

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (term time only)

Pay: Market-related, dependent on experience and qualifications

Key responsibilities:

Providing 1:1 support to a child with SEN (specific needs discussed at interview)

Supporting the pupil’s academic and emotional development

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO

Adapting learning materials and strategies to suit the pupil’s individual needs

Promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment

Ideal candidate:

Experience working with children with additional needs (formal or informal)

Patient, caring and reliable

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A proactive and flexible attitude

Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)
