Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)

Location: Louth

Pay Rate: £88.94 – £114.84 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and making a positive impact on their learning journey?

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to work in schools in Louth. As a SEN TA, this is a fantastic opportunity to provide tailored support to students with a range of special educational needs, helping them to thrive in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities as a SEN Teaching Assistant:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN, both inside and outside the classroom.

Assist in the delivery of tailored learning plans for students with a range of needs, including emotional, behavioural, and cognitive challenges.

Support students in accessing the curriculum, ensuring they achieve their potential.

Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to monitor student progress and adapt learning strategies as needed.

Assist with classroom management and promote positive behaviour and well-being.

Help with the preparation of resources and the adaptation of materials for SEN students.

Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:

Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs in a school or care setting is desirable.

Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.

A compassionate, flexible, and proactive approach to working with students.

A valid enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.

A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment over the last 10 years.
