SEN Teaching Assistant – Royston (SG8) – Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: £24,000 – £27,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours: 39–40 per week

Location: Royston, SG8

Contract Type: Permanent

KTS Group is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a specialist education setting in Royston on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people with additional needs including PMLD, autism, and complex medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

*

Support students’ learning, development, and progress across a range of contexts – including the classroom, the local environment, and the wider community.

*

Work closely with young people with a variety of needs, including profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), complex medical needs, and autism.

*

Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring all students are treated with dignity and respect.

*

Provide high-quality, person-centred support, helping students achieve their educational and personal goals.

*

Contribute to a positive, empowering environment and actively participate in all aspects of student care, including personal care and physical intervention when required.

*

Continuously develop your knowledge of SEN and align with the values of the setting.

What We’re Looking For:

*

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Teaching Assistant in a UK school (preferably SEN).

*

Educated to at least Level 2 (or equivalent) in Maths and English.

*

Passionate about working with children and young people with additional needs.

*

A proactive, compassionate, and creative individual who sees potential, not disability.

*

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both in a team and independently.

*

Enthusiastic about outdoor learning and community engagement.

*

Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

*

Proof of right to work in the UK is required – we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.
