Location: Tower Hamlets, East London

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary)

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 per annum

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a compassionate and driven SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team on a permanent basis.

This well-regarded, 2-form entry primary school has been praised by Ofsted for its nurturing culture, strong leadership, and inclusive approach to learning. With a firm commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs, the school places a high value on emotional wellbeing and personalised learning.

You'll work closely with the SENCo, class teachers, and specialist staff to support children with a range of needs including Autism, Speech and Language Difficulties, and SEMH challenges. The school offers a supportive environment where both pupils and staff are encouraged to flourish.

Role Responsibilities

* Deliver 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN

* Collaborate with teachers and SEN specialists to tailor support

* Assist in creating and reviewing personalised learning plans

* Foster communication skills, independence, and self-confidence in pupils

* Access to ongoing training and development (ideal for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Therapists or Teachers)

The Ideal Candidate

* A degree in Psychology (2:1 or above preferred)

* A passion for inclusive education and supporting children with SEN

* Empathetic, resilient, and proactive

* Experience with children in any capacity (school, voluntary, family) is desirable

* Long-term interest in child development, psychology, or education careers
