Are you a compassionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 in a vibrant and welcoming primary school in Barking & Dagenham.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking school community that values inclusion, creativity, and personalised support for every child. You will work closely with class teachers and SEN specialists to deliver tailored interventions, build pupils’ confidence, and help them thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with ASD.

• Assist with the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities.

• Use a range of strategies to support communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation.

• Foster a positive, nurturing environment where every child feels valued.

• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and parents to track progress.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with children with ASD or other SEN needs.

• Patient, adaptable, and resilient, with a genuine passion for supporting young learners.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.

• A proactive team player who brings energy and creativity to the role.
