SEN Support Assistant – September Start

Location: DY1, Dudley

Start Date: September 2025

Full-Time | Term-Time Only

RATE: £90-110 Per day (depending on experience)

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs? Do you thrive in a supportive, inclusive school environment? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Support Assistant to join our vibrant school community in Dudley, from September 2025.

About the Role

As an SEN Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to provide tailored support to students with a range of additional needs. Your role will involve one-to-one and small group support, helping pupils to access the curriculum, develop social skills, and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Provide in-class and out-of-class support for students with SEN

Support personalised learning plans and EHCPs

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals

Monitor and report on pupil progress

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (in school or other settings)

A patient, empathetic and resilient approach

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils

Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) desirable
