Are you looking for SEN support work?

SEN Central is currently recruiting dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistants for day to day supply and long term work in North Birmingham.

About the Role

You will be supporting SEN pupils on a 1:1 basis with a range of needs across SEN and mainstream Schools.

* Three to Five days per week- Long Term work - School hours

* or Flexible Days for day to day supply- school hours

What we are looking for

We are looking for SEN Learning support assistants with the following skills;

* Experience in 1:1 support in either Key Stage 1,2 and 3

* A calm, patient and empathetic nature

* A proactive and flexible approach to supporting individual learning needs

* A good understanding of safeguarding and SEN best practices

* Strong engagement skills

* Experience in supporting young people with either SEMH, ESBD, Autism, communication and sensory needs or complex needs

* Strong Communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal

* Patience, empathy, and dedication in the role

* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and to use own initiative

* Relevant qualification in either Childcare /Teaching support/ Health and Social Care / Relevant Degree

* Previous experience of supporting young people within a care setting / residential care setting is helpful (not essential)

* Resilient, committed and reliable

* All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
